This work is in very good condition. There is a tiny loss by the perspex of the lower left corner. Upper right there are few minor shallow scratches visible only upon close inspection and under raking light.

Negli anni ’60 assistiamo a un’evoluzione stilistica di Schifano. Il 1968 è l’anno di oasi e stelle, immagini aggraziate e inoffensive che “ aspirano a provocare un’emergenza di sentimenti infantili, ai limiti del natalizio e del meraviglioso” (M. Schifano). Ma il ’68 è anche l’anno dei soggetti, politici, dei NO, degli slogan tinti di rosso. Particolare di Oasi sembra preannunciare le lotte politiche  intestine, Particolare di Oasi è la quiete prima della tempesta. In the 60s we witness a stylistic evolution in Schifano’s oeuvre. 1968 is the year of oases and stars, graceful and inoffensive images that "aspire to provoke an emergency of childish feelings, all the way up to Christmas and all things marvellous" (M. Schifano). But 1968 is also the year of the polemics, politicians, of his ‘No’ works, of dyed red slogans. Particolare di Oasi seems to herald political infighting, Particolare di Oasi is the quiet before the storm.
