Condition
Gouache on slate in a wooden frame. Examination under UV light reveals no evidence of retouching. There is some paint shrinkage in the yellow and burgundy pigment and some further stable paint shrinkage with associated flecks of paint losses to the red triangles in the upper right quadrant. There are a few superficial scratches most predominately to the red shape in the lower left quadrant. The wooden elements of the frame appear to have slightly moved in the lower right corner (as visible in the catalogue illustration). This work is in overall good condition.
