Condition
It has not been possible to see the work entirely unframed. The canvas is not lined. Examination under UV light reveals two small spots (approx. 2 cm long) of retouching to the upper left quadrant. There is an uneven varnish which appears to have slightly yellowed in places. There are a few small dots of superficial dirt in places. There are a few thin lines of craquelure in places, notably towards the centre of the left edge. There is some frame rubbing, with associated minor flecks of paint losses, along the extreme edges. This work is in overall good condition and could benefit from a light clean.
