Condition
Overall very good condition. The gilt bronze surfaces present with strong luminous coloration. The chairs have been recently sensitively cleaned by a professional metalwork conservator. The bronze surfaces throughout both chairs with scattered extremely minor surface scratches, abrasions, and minor discolorations consistent with age and gentle use, and with some scattered extremely minor casting flaws inherent in the making and not visually detractive. The seats with some scattered small and slightly darker discolorations consistent with age and gentle use and not visually detractive. Both chairs with some extremely minor traces of oxidation within the recessed portions of the welds, only visible upon close inspection. A highly functional, naturalistic and delicate design by Claude Lalanne that present beautifully as a pair.
