Description

  • Height from modern base 21.3 cm
standing with his hands emerging from his cloak and holding the crook and flail, his long beard with curled tip, the atef-crown with uraeus and two lateral plumes, eyebrows and beard-straps formerly inlaid, and silver inlaid eyes, mounted on an early 20th century Egyptian wood base.

Martin Boddewijn, Belgian private collection, acquired in Egypt in 1920/1925
by descent to the current owner

Condition

Generally good and as shown in catalogue. Tip of beard restored. Surface slightly worn, small areas of corrosion, especially on back and legs. Small filling under proper right arm. Glued to its modern wood base.
