Condition
Condition:
This work is in good condition. Some scattered craquelure across the areas of heavy impasto, inherent to the artist's creative process. Some faint handling marks around the edges and across some areas of the painting, in line with the age of the painting. Upon closer inspection there is a light layer of dust present across the surface of the work, the painting could benefit from a light surface clean to insure the smoothness and uniformity of the white colours. No signs of restoration under UV light.
Colour:
The colours in the catalogue illustration are accurate, with the overall tonalities being softer in the original work, particularly around the table area where the tones tend towards a lighter grey.
