Description

  • ceramic and metal frame
moulded and painted in underglaze cobalt blue, turquoise, ochre and pink, outlined in black, depicting a young couple and attendants amongst floral stems with buildings in the distance, below a border of birds among meandering flowers, set in metal frame

Condition

In overall good condition, intact, set in a metallic frame with hook to reverse for hanging and open mount leaving the back of the tile visible, some abrasion to glaze noticeable along lower edge of tile and to some minor areas around the figures, hairline craquelure to glaze on upper register of tile, some pitting as consistent with firing, as viewed.
