Condition
The settee is in overall very good condition consistent with age. The chair retains its original wool upholstery and is in generally very good, period condition. There is a very faint area of discoloration on the seat which is not visually distracting. There is some surface dirt visible particularly in white areas of the upholstery, namely along the upper railing. The wood surfaces present with faint minor surface scratches, nicks and scattered minor abrasions, consistent with age and gentle use, largely concentrated to the lower portions of the legs. Deep in seat, the sofa is. A timeless, modern form that is both visually pleasing and markedly comfortable for a bench-style settee, two hallmarks of seating design by Wegner.
