An impressive matched pair, the condition in need of attention, especially the terrestrial globe. There are overall marks and scratches consistent with age and use, and re-touchings to surface. The stands probably made in the 19th century comprising earlier elements, in overall reasonable condition. The celestial globe in good restored condition, with areas of repainting. The terrestrial globe in need of professional attention, with the gores made of vellum which has buckled and worn, especially in the northern hemisphere, with larges areas not legible; there is some secure lifting, and some losses to the surface.
