the white marble tops now with pierced three-quarter brass rails over banded doors, inlaid with flower sprays within blind fluted pilasters ending in later feet; each stamped PETIT JME, alterations
Condition
Very decorative. Lacking gilt-bronze mounts and escutcheons, possibly repolished. Marble tops later one lifting and brass gallery tarnished and lifting in places. Losses and patching to veneers. Abrasions and old marks and scratches. One door with age crack. Later blocked feet. Decorative.

Nicolas Petit (1732-1791), received maître in 1761, and based in the rue du Faubourg-Saint-Antoine, produced a wide variety of pieces over a career that spanned thirty years.
