Four gem-set rings, mid 18th century and later

Comprising: a rock-crystal and diamond mourning ring, mid 18th century, centring on a facetted rock-crystal locket containing a lock of hair, to rose diamond shoulders, size O; a turquoise and diamond cluster ring, late 19th century, centring on a cabochon turquoise within a surround of circular-cut diamonds, size K; an emerald and diamond three stone ring, set with a step-cut emerald set between two circular-cut diamonds, size O; an amethyst ring, claw set with a step-cut amethyst, size N, two cases by Catchpole & Williams and Rood.

Turquoise and diamond ring: turquoise cabochon bright blue in colour, opaque, light scratches to surface consistent with wear. Please note that the turquoise has not been tested. Diamonds bright and lively, estimated total diamond weight approximately 0.50- 1.00 carats. Rock crystal and diamond ring: rock crystal transparent, colourless, with typical inclusions visible under magnification, wear to facet edges and very minor chips to surface consistent with wear, lock of hair intact in closed setting. Diamonds bright and lively. Emerald and diamond ring: emerald mid-green, strong saturation, transparent, with typical inclusions visible to the naked eye, measuring approximately 5.4 x 5.4 x 4.4mm, calculated to weigh approximately 0.89 carats, wear and minor chips to facet edges consistent with wear. Diamonds bright and lively, estimated total diamond weight approximately 0.80 - 1.20 carats, estimated colour I-J, estimated clarity SI - I on average. Amethyst ring: amethyst deep purple, strong saturation, very minor inclusions and typical colour zoning visible under magnification, measuring approximately 15.4 x 12.5 x 9.5mm, calculated to weigh approximately 12.12 carats. All pieces with light scratches and areas of minor discolouration to metal and stone surfaces consistent with age and wear.
