Condition
The canvas is lined. The varnish is marginally discoloured. There are no major damages visible and the painting is in good overall condition.
Inspection under ultra violet light reveals a milky varnish - an area of now discoloured retouching in the upper right corner, and other scattered retouching in background, and a small area of retouching 5 x 2 cm, to an old knock, above the sitters right shoulder.
Offered in a carved and gilt wood frame in good condition, with only minor chips.
