Provenance

George Forbes visited Japan in 1875.

Condition

Very decorative and finely cast. Two parts of two legs missing, one scale to underside of tail missing, body recently re-attached to tail section. Small 'Feelers' on head mis-shapen. Rubbing to patination on underside. No signature or seal mark found. Probably acquired by George Forbes in Japan.
