A FINE ATLAS CONTAINING BOTH GEOGRAPHICAL MAPS AND SEA CHARTS.

De Wit was one of the most prominent and successful map engravers and publishers in Amsterdam in the period following the decline of the houses of Blaeu and Janssonius, and he acquired many of their plates as they were dispersed.

Primarily comprising maps published by de Wit with additional maps by Blaeu, Visscher, Jaillot, Janssonius and Schenk and Valk.
