Condition
Small foxing is scattered on the surface. The colors are lightly pale but these are certainly the original colors as the work was kept in an album until 1992.

Catalogue Note
Cette aquarelle a très probablement été exécutée en 1824, époque à laquelle l'artiste partageait l'atelier de son ami, le peintre anglais Thalès Fielding, rue Jacob à Paris. A l'arrière-plan, on observe les deux tours de l'église saint-Sulpice et au-delà, le dôme du Panthéon. Une autre oeuvre reprenant la même vue est connue et aujourd'hui conservée à la Kunsthalle de Brême.
