- alabaster relief ; in a gilt wood and blue velvet frame

Condition
Overall good condition. There appears to be a fine diagonal restored break in the upper part of the composition, only within the architectural background, above the apostel's heads. The hanging lamp appears to be restored, and the surface appears to have been slightly retouched. A few minor lacks at several places : in particular the fingertips of both hands of the seated apostel as well as his nosetip are damaged; the apostel standing behind him with his proper right hand incomplete, and the feetwashing apostel's proper right hand with some fingers missing; the hantle of the watercarrier's bucket with one element missing. Relief with good modelling of draperies and heads.

Catalogue Note
The composition of this alabaster relief is inspired by a woodcut engraving from Albrecht Dürer (1471-1528), of the series of The Small Passion dating from 1511.
