Condition

Colour: The colour in the catalogue illustration is fairly accurate, although the overall tonality is slightly deeper and richer in the original. Condition: This work is in very good condition. Close inspection reveals some hairline drying cracks to some of the plasticine elements and to a few of the areas of thick impastoed oil paint. Extremely close inspection reveals three minute specks of loss; one to the pink pigment in the top right hand corner, two in the grey pigment towards the centre of the right hand edge and one small spot of lifting to the lower centre of the extreme right hand edge. No restoration is apparent when examined under ultra-violet light.
