The canvas has not been lined and has been painted with a white ground on the reverse, probably by the artist. There is rubbing and abrasion to the framing edges with some associated specks of paint loss. There is further minor scuffs and abrasions to the paint surface and surface dirt throughout. UV light inspection reveals areas of fluorescence throughout the work, however, these appear to be artist's original pigments rather than retouching's. . Held in a simple painted frame.
