silk brocade woven with a dragon-cloud border and mounted as a handscroll, the texts written in both Chinese and Manchu script, signed with four different dates: 15th day, 12th month, 1st Year of Daoguang; 16th day, 12th month, 14th Year of Daoguang; 16th day, 12th month, 6th Year of Xianfeng; 10th day, 12th month, 5th Year of Guangxu, showing the line of hereditary succession to the title of yunjiwei

Acquired in China prior to 1949.

Condition

Overall the edges are frayed with tears and losses to the paper backing. Several sections are secured by plastic tape at the back. General wear, staining, and fading to the surface, consistent with age. The scroll ends are lost. The tying ribbon is broken on one end.
