with steep conical sides flaring at the rim, freely painted with a writhing dragon and phoenix pursuing 'flaming pearls' to the exterior and upper half of the interior wall, centered by a roundel depicting a peak rising above turbulent waves under a moon in mist, the base inscribed with an apocryphal six-character Chenghua mark

Condition
The bowl has one chip to the rim (approx. 8 mm) and expected wear to the surface. Minor manufacturing imperfections include three short firing lines to the interior well (approx. 5 mm each), a small piece of excess clay at the rim (diameter approx. 2 mm), and scattered tiny burst glaze bubbles.
