Designed as a bow, set throughout with circular-cut and cushion-shaped diamonds and demantoid garnets, Austrian assay and maker's marks.
Condition
Stamped with Austrian assay marks for 14 carat gold, marked W for Vienna, and maker's marks EF on side of bow and pin fitting. Additionally stamped 585 for 14 carat gold to pin fitting. Incised number MPHT 45087 to brooch fitting. Diamonds bright and lively, estimated to be approximately H-J colour on average, mixed clarities, estimated total diamond weight approximately 7.00 - 9.00 carats. Demantoids bright green, transparent. with typical inclusions visible under magnification, largest measuring approximately 6.25 x 5.35 x 3.9mm, calculated to weigh approximately 1.09 carats. Demantoid settings possibly later. Overall dimensions approximately 76 x 67mm. Wear and light chips to some facet edges, some diamonds chipped. Some areas of discolouration to metal surfaces, and light scratches to all surfaces. Pin fitting intact and secure. In good condition.
