the lid engraved in Russian 'from the Comrades of the Lifeguard Jaeger Regiment', above enamelled motto 'La providance [sic] me quide' and raised enamel armorial with initials ARL (Latin) and engraved dates 1864-1891, the side engraved 'Ya. Nasvetevich' (Cyrillic), the base engraved with the names of members of the regiment, with vesta compartment and tinder cord channel, cabochon emerald thumbpiece, 56 standard

Good condition, with signs of use, including overall surface scratches and shallow dents near the tinder cord channel openings.
