the lid applied with a gold poltina coin (1777-1778) of Empress Catherine II, part-enamelled in opaque white within a rose-cut diamond-set border, cabochon ruby and diamond thumbpiece, unmarked apart from scratched inventory number 53856

Condition

Very good condition with a crack near the thumbpiece, tight hinge, the hinge pin slightly protruding.
