Condition
Original canvas. There are frame abrasions with associated paint loss along all four edges. There are a couple of surface scratches in places. There is a small puncture to the canvas with associated paint loss to the left of the centre of the bottom edge. Found in places are surface scratches which are mostly quite faint. There is a small area of restoration visible to the naked eye in the bottom right quadrant of the composition. Inspection under UV light reveals two small retouchings: one to the aforementioned area and another to the rocks in the lower left. Held in a metal gilt wooden frame. Unexamined out of frame.
