Condition
Original canvas which is buckling slightly over each of the four corners. The tacking edges have been taped over with gummed brown paper. There are minor abrasions along the edges with flecks of paint loss in places. There are areas of craquelure and paint shrinkage scattered throughout the composition. There is a layer of surface dirt with flecks of dirt in places. Inspection under UV light reveals no apparent signs of retouching. Held in a painted wooden frame with silver gilding. Unexamined out of frame.
