Condition
Original canvas. There are abrasions along all four edges, with some associated paint loss in places, notably in the top right corner. Craquelure is visible in the face and body of the sitter. There is a layer of surface dirt, with spots of household paint visible in places. Inspection under UV light reveals no obvious signs of restoration but the thick, uneven varnish layer prevents a more conclusive analysis. Held in a metallic painted wooden frame. Unexamined out of frame.
