Condition
The sheet has been laid on canvas and the paint goes over the edge of the sheet on to the canvas. There are strips of wood nailed to all four tacking edges. There is slight cracking in the paint layer at the edges with some associated minor paint loss. Fine craquelure is present throughout, notably in the sky and the roof of the hut. There is a light layer of surface dirt with a couple of stains in the sky. Inspection under UV light reveals retouching to the left, top and right edges, and a few scattered spots in the sky. Held in a gilt wooden frame. Unexamined out of frame.
