The complete portfolio, comprising 80 etchings with aquatint, drypoint and engraving printed in dark umber ink, 1799, from the sixth edition of 1890-1900, made in the Calcografía for the Real Academia, Madrid, on thick wove paper, bound in the original yellow pasteboard covers with the Self-Portrait on the front

Condition

With full margins, in generally good condition, plates 11 and 12 loose from binding, with associated horizontal creases along lower sheet edges, with paper discoloration mainly at sheet edges (mostly visible on plates 1 -13), areas of mottled foxing on plates 1-5 and the verso of plate 80, some sheets with soft creasing in the lower corners, the rest with the occasional small isolated fox mark, plate 1 with an area of damp staining in the right margin and plate 30 with minor staining in margins, other lesser defects. The covers with general slight wear and some areas of staining.
