Woodcut printed in black, 1898-9, Kornfeld's edition A, numbered 27 in black ink, on very fine japan paper supported on wove paper, the verso with the faint impression of Changement de Résidence (K. 54) in reverse, which suggests that L'enlèvement d'Europe was laid down and then rested against an impression of this subject at the time of printing, framed
Condition
The sheet trimmed (most likely as issued), in good condition apart from some pale discoloration and foxing, some oil staining at extreme edges of sheet, a small loss in the support sheet in figure's hair, a minor tear at upper left corner, framed.
