Etching, circa 1634, a fine impression of this rare subject, the only state, New Hollstein's only state, printing with traces of burr in the hair above the subject's left eye and under his cap at right, the delicate shading on the left cheek only visible in early impressions distinct
Condition
With a thread margin at upper sheet edge, trimmed just outside or on the platemark at right and below and trimmed unevenly (fractionally within the subject) at left, otherwise in good condition, fibrous residual mounting at the lower sheet edge verso, unframed.
