The complete set of 12 woodcuts, circa 1496-1511, good impressions, though with some slightly uneven printing in the densely hatched areas characteristic of the Latin text edition of 1511, B. 8, 10, 11 on paper with a Flower with Triangle watermark (M. 127), B. 14 on paper with a Crowned Tower watermark (M. 259), each framed
Condition
with narrow to thread margins, the title page the full page as published (without borders), generally in good condition, a few plates with a few repaired tears (see particulars below), some plates with a few minor stains, minor areas of thinning, framed. Imperfections to individual sheets include:
B. 4: with a short vertical repaired tear approx. 25 mm. extending from the top sheet edge
B. 6: a short, approx. 5mm. horizontal repaired tear at the left sheet edge
B. 7: with a repaired horizontal tear (approx. 28mm.) extending from the right sheet edge
B. 13: glue staining at the lower reverse sheet edge showing through slightly on Christ's wrist and drapery
B. 14: very fine splits on the contours of the deeply indented watermark (a short, uninked horizontal printer's crease extending from the left sheet edge)
B. 15: a tiny flap of printed surface skinned off the surface
