Woodcut, 1511, a very good Meder d impression, printing with clarity though showing some slight wear in the densely hatched areas of the drapery shrouding Christ, on paper with a partial Cross with initials JZ watermark (M. 313), framed

Condition

With margins, generally in good condition apart from some areas of surface skinning verso (not affecting the subject recto), a minor, horizontal surface split along the central drying fold extending from the right borderline, approx.15mm. into subject, with one or two touches of pen and black ink, a few minor, small stains visible recto (a fine, uninked, horizontal printer's crease extending 43mm into the subject from the right borderline, the usual central, horizontal drying fold), framed.
