M. 263, dated after 1550), a Double Eagle watermark (?), and a Crest of Augsberg with M watermark (M. 178), B. 9 a Meder c-d impression, B. 15 probably a Meder c impression, one framed

Condition

Trimmed outside, on, or just within the borderline, some plates slightly unevenly in places, generally in good condition, one framed. Imperfections to individual sheets include: B. 4: a made-up area approx. 10 by 15mm at the left edge, in the sleeve of the disciple at far left, touched-in with pen and ink, two repaired tears approx. 50 mm and 15 mm. at the left sheet edge, two short approx. 27 and 12mm. repaired tears at the right sheet edge (the latter where the central horizontal drying fold has split), a few nicks at the sheet edges B. 7: a short split at the upper sheet edge, very slight, barely visible surface craquelure at the upper left corner B. 8 on discernibly thicker paper from the Augsburg edition, with two small areas of residual mounting at the upper sheet edge verso with a small associated stain recto, small associated thin areas B. 9: the lower sheet corner tips re-attached or made up, without signs of touching in pen and ink, one or two small brown stains visible in the lower left corner B. 15: some staining verso showing through slightly recto, a fine, uninked printer's crease extending from the right sheet edge. (All plates with the usual, horizontal drying fold)
