Condition
The prints with narrow margins (B. 98,101), trimmed on or just within the platemark (B. 97, 102-104), on the borderline (B. 99-100, 107), or trimmed on or just within the borderline, fractionally within the subject (B. 105,106), the prints generally in good condition, some with some minor discolouration, foxmarks, or staining recto and verso, remains of old mounting, framed. Imperfections to individual sheets include:
B. 97: partially glued at upper part of print to mount
B. 98: a small repair in the second step of platform at bottom right of print, touched in with pen and black ink, at upper left sheet corner verso a small area of paper torn off surface, not affecting the subject
B. 99: dark mount staining at the reverse sheet edges
B. 100 a small paper loss and surface skinnings at the upper sheet corner, affecting the borderline and area above EM of Tricipitem
B. 102: some unobtrusive hand colouring with pink ink in the flesh and weapon of Hercules' fellow fighter
B. 103: a 30mm. repaired, diagonal tear extending from lower right sheet corner
