- 'Inhabited Drawing'
- gelatin silver print overpainted with ink and acrylic thread
a unique object, overpainted with black ink, stitched with black acrylic thread, and signed and dated in ink on the image, flush-mounted to Masonite, in the artist's frame, titled, and dated in ink, the photographer's stamp and with Galerije Grada, Zagreb, labels on the reverse, 1975
Provenance
Quadra Galeria, Rio de Janeiro, 1988
Condition
This object represents the ideal presentation for the photographer's early work, including the original blond wood frame as issued.
While this unique object has not been examined out of its artist's frame, it appears to be in generally good condition. The gelatin silver print has slightly shifted in color and has a faint reddish cast. There is soiling and some silver deposits, possibly foxing, overall, with a more concentrated 2-inch area in the center.
Upon close inspection, scattered pinpoint-sized impressions are visible. A few soft creases, most noticeably a 3-inch crease at the right edge, are visible in high raking light. The aforementioned are likely a result of the mounting process and do not appear to break the emulsion.
The two Galerije Grada, Zagreb, labels on the reverse of the frame are partly lifting.
