Condition

This quarter-plate daguerreotype is generally very clean. There is minor, uneven tarnish at the edges along the window of the mat. Upon close inspection, there are tiny transparent spots, possibly on the glass. The case is intact, but splitting along the spine and worn at the edges. One hook is lacking.
