Description

  • André Kertész
  • Untitled (Women in Windows)
  • gelatin silver print
ferrotyped, signed and dated in pencil on the reverse, framed, 1928

Condition

This early ferrotyped print, with a slightly warm tone, is in generally excellent condition. As is typical of the ferrotyping process, a slight unevenness of the overall glossy surface and minor pitting are visible in raking light. 'PF9376' is written in an unidentified hand in pencil on the reverse. There is a small piece of masking tape on the reverse, as well as a few old adhesive stains. This print does not appear to fluoresce when examined under ultraviolet light.
