Condition
A l'œil nu :
To the naked eye:
The painting appears in relatively good condition.
It has been re-lined with wax on the first half of the 20th century, and then doubled with a new canvas recently.
The painting has lost its glazes on the landscape background, sky and figures. We notice some old restorations on the clouds, the vegetation and the ground.
Under U.V. light:
The painting appears under a green thick uniform varnish. It has been restored several times, in the sky, the vegetation and the ground for the older restorations and the architecture and the figures for the most recent ones (isolated).
