Description
- Bronze, wood stands
the compressed globular body rising from a splayed foot to a tall waisted neck, the body decorated with large archaistic cicadas under a taotie masks band, with a keyfret rim, set with a pair of mythical beast-mask handles each suspending a loose ring, wood stands (4)
Condition
The vase on the left of the catalogue:
There are a ca. 6.5 x 3 cm and ca. 4x3 cm filled-in casting flaws on the neck and another one measuring ca.9 x 6 cm on the side.
There is a bruise on the body.
There are traces of vert-de-gris inside the vase and underneath.
The neck is slightly warped.
There are scattered dents and wear on the surface.

The neck has been broken and restored.
There is a ca. 8 x 5 cm filled-in casting flaw under the handle.
