A l'œil nu : Le tableau se présente dans un état de conservation relativement satisfaisant. Il est peint sur un panneau de chêne rond. La peinture est stable et le panneau est parfaitement droit. On remarque des usures surtout dans les parties brunes qui laissent transparaître la préparation rouge. A la lampe U.V. : Le tableau se présente sous un épais vernis vert ancien et uniforme. On remarque une restauration de 6 cm. de longueur au centre à droite du tronc de l'arbre, ainsi que de petits points de restauration épars. On remarque également une restauration de 2 cm. de longueur dans la partie basse, au niveau du sol. To the naked eye : The painting is satisfactory condition. It is painted on a round oak panel. The pictorial layer is stable and the panel is perfectly flat. We notice some wears specially on the brown parts, which let appear the red preparation. Under U.V. light : The painting appears under an old green thick uniform varnish. We notice a 6 cm. restoration on the centre, on the right of the trunk, and some little restoration spots throughout the panel. We can also notice a 2 cm restoration on the lower part on the ground.
