Condition

The panel consists of a single board that is uncradled, stable and has all four edges beveled. Underneath an old varnish a decorative image unfolds. Very small dots of losses are visible on the top left corner and center right quadrant, along the edges of the panel. Another area of very small loss, possibly due to frame rubbing, is at the bottom right corner. Inspection under UV possibly reveals some small spots of retouches scattered throughout the sky and clouds with some thin lines of retouches are scattered along the edges. Another area of retouching appears to be in the dark hues of the foreground, specifically on the grass in the lower left quadrant, although further reading is impeded due to a milky varnish. The painting is offered in a wood frame with inner and outer gold lining that has some minor losses.
