Condition

The canvas is relined. The paint surface is relatively clean. Some small retouchings to the lower margin are visible to the naked eye, and throughout the picture. Under ultraviolet inspection some further retouching is visible in the other three margins. There is a thin, uneven layer of varnish. Overall the painting is in very good condition. It is presented in a gilt wood frame, with some very minor losses.
