Condition
The canvas is lined, the paint surface is slightly dirty, with discoloured vertical and horizontal lines in the sky (visible in the catalogue illustration) and the varnish is slightly discoloured. There is a small discoloured retouching in the foliage at the top of one of the trees, right. Inspection under ultraviolet light reveals careful spot retouching throughout the sky but little other intervention. In overall good condition. Offered in a carved and gilt wood frame in very good condition.
