Condition

The canvas has been relined. The surface is relatively clean and in good condition with an even varnish. The canvas presents a small number of match head sized paint losses scattered throughout the surface. On inspection under ultraviolet light there is some minor retouching on the right side in the trees and the cloud, and in the lower left corner. Overall the painting is in good condition. The work is offered in a carved gilt wood frame.
