Catalogue Note

This treatment of the Madonna of the Apocalypse by Danedi clearly demonstrates the influence of his Milanese contemporary, Francesco del Cairo (1607-1665). Cairo’s own very similar version of this composition is in the Church of Saint-Pierre at Lion-sur-Mer, France.¹
