Catalogue Note
This lively, well-drawn study is reminiscent of figures found in the paintings of Anthonie Palamedesz. (Delft 1601 - 1673 Amsterdam), and the facial type is also reminiscent of that artist, but as Peter Schatborn has noted, no chalk figure studies have so far been conclusively attributed to him.1
