Condition

Fixed to mount with brown paper tabs in the top corners. Further brown paper tabs in lower corners. Remains of previous backing and adhesive down left edge, verso. Some light foxing and surface dirt, but overall condition good and fresh.

Catalogue Note

Pieter Candid made a number of paintings in which the figure of God the Father appears rather similarly to this drawing, notably the Annunciation, in the Saint Michael's Church, Munich.1
