Most probably entered the Thoresby Hall collection through Georgine de Franquetot, wife of Charles Pierrepont, 3rd Earl Manvers from the estate of her father Gustave de Franquetot, Duc de Coigny (1800 - 1865) during the second half of the 19th century;

Condition
The incomplete marble top with marks, scratches and some chips as well as holes that have been drilled along 3 of its four sides, where a gallery would have been. Minor losses to the veneer. The left side with an extending slide displaying one horizontal shrinking crack; two further cracks to the right-hand side slide.
