Condition
This elegant marquetry cabinet is in reasonable condition, with overall marks and scratches consistent with age and use. There are some minor losses to the veneer, and the moulded border of the right canted side is detached and missing. Some superficial staining in places. The two upper drawers with later-inserted escutcheon blocks; the moulding separating the two is missing. Some overall lifting to veneer, most notably to sides of drawers. One old restoration to the lower-left return, which also presents a secure crack. The handles with attractive tarnishing. The feet with some scuffing. An attractive and solid piece.
