one inlaid to the top with a conch shell and palmettes with boxwood strung reserves, the other boxwood and ebony strung

Condition

Overall in reasonable 'county house' condition. The example with the conch shell inlay measures 82cm high, 50 cm wide, and 50 cm deep. There is movement along the joints of construction. Colour slightly faded and uneven. Old marks and scratches consistent with age and use. A well matched and practical pair of book cases.
